What is cancer?
It is a disease in which there is a development of cancerous cells in the ovary, which divide and grow uncontrollably. As with other types of cancer, it can spread to other tissues (metastasis).
Some symptoms
Cancer is practically silent since it does not present specific symptoms, which makes it difficult to diagnose it effectively and in time. The symptoms are reflected when the tumor is already advanced and therefore presents a worse prognosis. Some symptoms are the following:
Loss of appetite
Abdominal swelling
Excessive fatigue
Weight loss
Pelvic pain
Sensation of fullness continues
Frequent need to urinate
Constipation or diarrhea
3 types of cancer according to the tissue in which the tumor develops
Epithelial tumors: affects the epithelial cells, which line the ovary
Germ cell tumors: affect the cells that originate the ovules
Stromal tumors: affects the cells that produce female hormones
Do you have ovarian cancer and are you worried that this will prevent you from getting pregnant?
The desire to be a mother can be achieved as long as you adopt measures that preserve fertility. Some of these measures can be the freezing of ovules, the freezing of ovarian tissue
(used especially with girls), the freezing of already fertilized embryos or the maturation of ovules in the laboratory.
Along with this, assisted reproduction methods such as in vitro fertilization (IVF), surrogate pregnancy, are viable options for achieving a child. Remember through assisted reproduction you can achieve a safe pregnancy, without taking risks and achieve a healthy baby.
